Who are the Toolboxes for?
The Be You Living Mindfulness Toolboxes are for children who love to get creative or for those who would like to explore their creativity more while also learning mindfulness practices. 

​

The activities are suitable for children aged 5-12 years.   Children aged 5-7 years may need assistance in completing the activities.

​

All children will need assistance from an adult using the oven or sharp objects.  More information provided in the instruction booklet enclosed in the toolbox.

How many activities are included?
Little box – 7 mindfulness/art activities
Medium box- 15 mindfulness/art activities.
Big box - 30 mindfulness/art activities.

What craft supplies will I need to have at home for my child to complete my box?
Please note: The art supplies provided in the little and medium toolboxes are:

2 x smal pots of paint, 1 x paint brush, 1 x 10ml bottle of clear glue.

The art supplies provided in the Big toolbox are:
1 x 15cm x 15cm canvas panel, 1 x mini palette'n' paint set, 1 x paint brush, 1 x mini pet of 12 coloured pencils,
1 x pkt of 12 coloured textas, 1 x 10ml bottle of clear glue, 1 x 10ml Mod Podge (glue & sealer)

Your child will need scissors and may need extra clear glue or tape if required.

The big box will require you to use some uncooked rice from the pantry!

What's the best way to use the box?

Upon receiving the Be You Living Mindfulness Toolbox your child’s mindfulness practice will begin.  

 

Opening the toolbox can become your child's first mindfulness practice where they sit comfortably and take a few deep breaths looking at the toolbox with ‘Beginners Mind’, like seeing something for the first time by letting go of any preconceived ideas and having an attitude of openness, curiosity, non-judgement while engaging the senses.  

Depending on the size of your chosen box, you may want to work with your child to plan the activities over a number of days or let them manage at their own pace.

 

Each mindfulness activity is an opportunity to practice the qualities of mindfulness. The instruction booklet contains a ‘How to use the Be You Living Toolbox’ page which will guide your child through the steps of how to best use the activities in the toolbox.

 

Once all activities have been completed your child will have their very own mindfulness toolbox that they can access whenever they need to support them to feel calmer and more present.

How will my child know how to use the box?
Your child will be able to follow the sequential instructions for each activity which are in the instruction booklet in the toolbox.

​

Your child may need assistance as noted in the instruction booklet for some activities, for example when using the oven, pins and scissors. Safety guidelines are also in the instruction booklet. 

​

How should I prepare a space for my child to best complete the activities?

The best way to use the box is to create a quiet space where your child can be present and retreat to, like a desk in their room, so as to create each mindfulness tool and then be able to learn the mindfulness practice in a comfy place like on their bed or a beanbag. 

​

Place scissors and extra glue and tape if needed on their workspace for easy access.

 

It is important to also create a quiet sanctuary nearby if possible so your child can really focus and immerse themselves in creating each mindfulness tool and then move to the mindfulness practice.

​

You and/or your child could also create a ‘Calm Corner’ and get creative by adding fairy lights, a ‘Breathing buddy’ (see activities), books about mindfulness etc. 

Can siblings share the box?
Yes. Siblings can create the mindfulness tools together and then take turns using the tools for mindfulness practices.

 

Alternatively you can purchase a box for each child so they each have their own mindfulness tools they can use when they practice the mindfulness activities in their daily lives.

I wish to send my box as a gift, do you gift wrap?
There's no need as the Be You Living Mindfulness Toolbox is already presented as a gift complete with a big ribbon.  It’s our 'gift of ‘presence’ to you!

​

The toolbox will be delivered to the recipient in a cardboard box for safe delivery.

​

We offer a handwritten card service for an additional $5  - choose this option when making your order.

Delivery costs

Postage will cost $9 for the Little and Medium Box.   $19 for the large box.

​

Delivery time frame

We ship with Australia Post and delivery times vary between 3-10 business days depending on your location.  
You will be sent a notification once your Toolbox has been shipped.

Returns

Please note no returns or refunds will be accepted once you have received your box.

 

If you change your mind before your box is sent for delivery, we can happily cancel your order and offer a refund.
